
The West Liberty-Salem boys’ varsity soccer team earned its 9th win of the season, defeating Emmanuel Christian 3-0 Tuesday night.
Scoring goals for WL-S were Wyatt Longaberger, Kamden Yang, and Caleb Ling. Longaberger also had 2 assists.
Tucker Searles earned four saves and saw great play from the defensive unit in front of him.
The team travels to Greenon this Thursday for a difficult OHC match. The game is at 7:30 p.m.
The Calvary Christian Spartans defeated the Northside Christian Tigers in a 4-0 win on the road.
In the first half, Senior Captain Nehemiah Dillon and Senior Trent Comer both scored one each, putting the Spartans on the board.
In the second half, Dillon added two more, securing the hat trick. The defensive line and Goalkeeper Brody Prall both played important roles, shutting down the Lions’ offense.
The Spartans are on the road again on Friday to compete against Legacy Christian.
