In high school basketball Monday night, the West Liberty-Salem (WL-S) girls’ team secured a victory over Benjamin Logan 57-27.
Ava Astorino netted 18 points and Addi Wallen added 17.
Other contributors included Ava Johnson (7 points), Maddie McGill (6 points), and Ava Poppe (3 points).
The team shot 22 field goals and made 3 of 6 free throws.
WL-S improves to a 6-2 record for the season.
There was no JV game.
For the Raiders, Kylie Harner had 10 points and Lahna Cook added 7 points.
The Benjamin Logan JV Raiders played Madison Plains and won 33-19.
Molly Siefring and Bonnie Brunson led scoring for the Raiders with 7 points each.
Miley Buettner, Bryleigh Burnside, and Kaylee Oglesbee each added 4 points in the win.
The Raiders will travel to Graham Wednesday for a CBC match-up.
Triad’s varsity girls’ team faced Fairlawn, at home in a varsity-only matchup, but came up short, losing 35-22.
Jazz Ford led Triad, scoring 14 points and grabbing 7 rebounds.
Mia LeMay added 6 points and 9 rebounds, while Bre Parsons contributed 6 rebounds.
Gracie Martin also had 3 assists in the game.
Triad’s varsity record now stands at 1-4 in the OHC and 2-7 overall.
The team will play again at home against Madison Plains on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
