The WL-S Middle School Football Team faced off against West Jefferson on Thursday, falling short with a final score of 36-24. Despite the loss, the Tigers showcased impressive teamwork and individual talent on the field.
Brandel Sullivan emerged as a standout player, contributing to all of the Tigers’ scoring efforts. He opened the scoring with a 9-yard touchdown run and followed it up with a spectacular 61-yard touchdown pass to Aiyden Moxley. Sullivan also connected with Case McIntosh for a 6-yard touchdown pass.
In addition to his passing and rushing touchdowns, Sullivan demonstrated his versatility by successfully executing two two-point conversions on the ground and adding a two-point conversion pass to Nate Shively. His contributions didn’t stop there; Sullivan also made a significant impact on defense with an interception.
The Tigers will look to bounce back next Thursday as they prepare to host Mechanicsburg at home. With strong performances from players like Sullivan, the team remains optimistic about improving their record and continuing to build on their skills.
