Several soccer teams were in action over the weekend.
The West Liberty-Salem varsity girls defeated Bellefontaine 7-1.
For the Tigers, Delaney Jones recorded a hat trick, and Chloe Bender, Megan Hollar, Ava Johnson, and Lily Weaver also scored.
Ivy Cline, Zoie Vermillion, Johnson, and Weaver tallied an assist each.
Defensively, Delaney Wade had 6 saves.
For the Chiefs, Ellie Mitchell scored the lone goal.
Lexi Robinson recorded 5 saves in goal.
West Liberty-Salem improves to 9-0 on the season.
Bellefontaine falls to 4-4.
The Chiefs host Kenton Ridge, following the boys’ game, this evening at 7:20.

Jr. High:
Calvary Christian defeated Bellefontaine Red 6-0 Saturday evening at Calvary Fields.
Scoring for the Spartans was Anderson Konz with a hat trick, Ransom Lambert, Daniel Bender, and Jolt Gantz also scored.
Bender, Xavier Church, and Seth Palmer recorded an assist.
Elijah Navarro also provided great offensive strength throughout the game and Blythe Lowe showed outstanding toughness. Alton Tighe and Abel Davie played great defense in the shutout.
Youth soccer:
U13 Huntsville defeated Quincy.
Carter Oakley lead all scorers with four goals, Addison Headings added three of her own, Kaiden Lacher, Reese Imm, Calin Headings, and Abby Bihn all scored twice and Kirk Beres added one goal.
U11 Calvary #1 defeated Lakeview 13-0.
Joshua Gildow recorded a hat trick, Graham Buchenroth and Luke Cronkleton added 2 goals apiece, Charis Kariuki, Myra Varner, Reed Comer, Violet James, Eli Keller, and Klay Gantz all had one goal each.
Grayson Stout, McKinley Roell, and Ryan Price all played well for the Spartans.
Gantz and Keller combined for the shutout in goal.
U11 Huntsville United defeated North Logan #2 4-0.
Adeline Schulz, Ross Tidwell, Xander Jenkins, and Bennett Shaner each had a goal.
U8 Calvary #3 defeated Lakeview #3 6-1.
For the Spartans, Jameson Morrison scored four goals and Eli Warren added two.
The excellent defense came from Mary Gillespie, Elliot Rogers, Scarlett Francis, Alivia Gildow, and Blake Decker.
U7 Huntsville ran past North Logan 6-2.
Kamden Lacher scored 4 goals while Krew Klofta and Cortlyn Schulz added one goal apiece.
U6 Calvary #2 edged past Quincy #1 1-0.
Reid Morrison scored the lone goal for Calvary.
The stellar defense came from Eleanor Brill, Ethan Dudenhofer, Cyrus Fraber, Georgia Adelsberger, Catherine Gillespie, Clara Gillespie, Eli Smithers, and Alayna Bender.
