WL-S’s Paul signs with Muskingum; Monday bowling results

It was a memorable night on and off the lanes for West Liberty-Salem senior Sadie Paul, who officially signed Monday to continue her bowling career at Muskingum University at Southwest Bowling Lanes. Paul, who plans to major in secondary education, marked the occasion with teammates and family as Muskies head coach Doug Smith was on hand to do the honors.

Later in the evening, the West Liberty-Salem girls bowling team finished second in a tri-match against Emmanuel Christian and Northeastern, posting a total score of 1999. Kathy Roehm led WLS with a 320 series, while Elli Ullery rolled 272 and Paul added 263 as the Tigers totaled 1,324 pins in the regular games and 675 pins in Baker play.

Elsewhere around the area, the Benjamin Logan boys edged Indian Lake 2424–2356 at TP Lanes, while the Indian Lake girls picked up a 2355–2182 win over Benjamin Logan. At Southwest Bowl, Bethel defeated Urbana in boys action, but Urbana answered with a win in the girls match. Finally, Greenon swept Triad in both boys and girls competition at Bowl 10.

VARSITY GIRLS — Emmanuel Christian 2210, West Liberty-Salem 1999, Northeastern 1637 (Southwest Bowl)

The West Liberty-Salem girls finished second in Monday’s tri-match at Southwest Bowl.

Kathy Roehm led WLS with a 320 series (154–166). Elli Ullery rolled 272, Sadie Paul added 263, Olivia Deere finished with 249, and Tru Maxam rolled 220.

West Liberty-Salem posted 1,324 pins in the regular games and added 675 pins in Baker competition.

The match also marked a special milestone for Sadie Paul, who officially signed to continue her bowling career at Muskingum University. Paul plans to major in secondary education. Muskingum head coach Doug Smith was on hand at Southwest Bowling Lanes to take part in the signing.

West Liberty-Salem narrowly won a high-scoring tri-match Monday night at Southwest Bowl, finishing just two pins ahead of Emmanuel Christian.

Bryant Eaton delivered a standout performance for WLS with a massive 512 series (212–300). Tucker Searles added 464, Devon Jones rolled 347, Jerome Cordrey finished with 338, Zander Gluckle added 163, and Ashton Brannon rolled 114.

West Liberty-Salem totaled 1,938 pins in the regular games and added 735 pins in Baker play.

Addison Castle paced Indian Lake with a strong 424 series (199–225). Kyleigh Castle followed with 386, while Kacie Craft rolled 353. Chassy Dolan added 317, Savannah Lamb finished with 124, and Natalie Harford rolled 121.

Indian Lake recorded 1,725 pins in the regular games and added 630 pins in Baker competition.

Pierce Jenkins led Benjamin Logan with a 395 series (175–220). Colton Klopfenstein added 352, while Conner Chambers rolled 345. Kaden Stevens chipped in 191, Wyatt LeVan added 189, Paxton Henry rolled 157, and Taydin Miller finished with 145.

Benjamin Logan totaled 1,774 pins in the regular games and added 650 pins in Baker play to secure the win.
