Don Epps, of West Liberty, and Ed Hildreth, of Bellefontaine, competed in the World Horseshoe Tournament over the last three days in Lansing, Michigan.
Hildreth won his class, C-1, in the tournament and finished 14-1, throwing 60% ringers.
Epps finished 9th in the three-day preliminary.
Epps will now take on the top 16 pitchers with the highest percentage and pitch for three more days. These are the top 16 elder pitchers in the world.
The championship round starts Thursday and ends on Saturday when the World Champion will be named.
