Zanesfield Petanque Club member Mamy Ranaivoson traveled to Morgantown, North Carolina to play in the Federation of Petanque USA Mid – America Region Men’s Singles and Mixed Doubles June 8-9.
Saturday’s Men’s Singles had 24 teams. After three qualifying rounds Mamy was 2-1 and ranked 5th. The top 12 moved on to the concours. After two concours wins Mamy lost to put him in the 3rd place game which he won 13-6.
Sunday’s Mixed Doubles Mamy partnered with Lori Beth Creasy (Florida). After three qualifying rounds they were 2-1 and ranked 12th. Which placed them in the concours bracket with the top 16 teams. Team Mamy won their next 3 games to make the Finals which they lost 4-13 to place 2nd.
