1950-2025
Alan “Al” Lee Wischmeyer, 74, of North Lewisburg, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer.
Al was born on September 22, 1950, to the late Werner and Mary Florence (Meyer) Wischmeyer.
He is survived by his son, Hank (Liz) Wischmeyer; grandson, Levi Alan Wischmeyer; brothers Dennis (Karen) Wischmeyer, Dale Wischmeyer, and Bill (Bobbie) Wischmeyer; sisters Jean (Charles) Klinker, Marilyn (Bill) Klinker, Rita (Tom) Jarvis, Sister Debra Marie Wischmeyer, Rose (Mike) Kenoyer, and Sharon (Rick) Graham; two nieces he lovingly thought of as daughters, Elizabeth (Rusty) Roeder and Karilyn Lacher; brothers-in-law Jeff Lacher and R.B. Lame; sister-in-law Sallie Page; and 27 other nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.
Al was preceded in death by his loving wife, Renā Wischmeyer, whom he married on August 20, 1977; his parents; sister-in-law Rita Lacher; brother-in-law Lowell Page; nephew Will Page; and parents-in-law Lamarr Lame and Russell Lame.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, Ohio.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, Russell’s Point, Ohio, with Father Jarred Kohn officiating.
Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, North Lewisburg, Ohio.
