Ann Marie Cartwright, 74, of Huntsville, OH, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine, OH.
Ann was born on November 22, 1950, in Marion, OH, a daughter of the late Jim and Margaret (Stuber) Cusick. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Craig Cusick and Kent Cusick.
Ann married Chris Cartwright on November 27, 1971, and he survives. She is also survived by two sons, Mark Cartwright of Huntsville, and Jon (Tammi) Cartwright of Belle Center, OH, three grandchildren, Conner, Massie, and Trinity, a sister, Jean Willis of Prospect, OH, a sister-in-law, Sharon Cusick, and several nieces and nephews.
Ann was a 1969 graduate of Marion Catholic High School. She was a teacher’s aide at Indian Lake Schools for 20 years, working mostly at Huntsville Elementary and then at the new elementary until she retired in 2013. Ann enjoyed reading, being outdoors, working around her home, watching hummingbirds, boating, going on golf cart rides, traveling with Chris, attending various school events, and mostly spending time with her family and close friends.
A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Ann’s life will be on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 5-7 pm, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St, Lakeview. Casual attire or your favorite Laker gear is requested.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in Ann’s memory to the Indian Lake Elementary Clothes Closet.
