Anthony G. Rice, 61, of Cable, affectionately known as Tony to those who knew him best, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at the James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer.

Born on August 9, 1964, in Bellefontaine, Tony's life was a testament to dedication, resilience, and the deep love he held for his family.

A proud graduate of Benjamin Logan High School, Tony went on to build a remarkable career, dedicating nearly four decades to TRC. His commitment and work ethic were evident to all who worked alongside him, and his contributions left a lasting impact on the company and his colleagues.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tony was a man of vibrant interests and passions. He thoroughly enjoyed riding motorcycles and attending car shows, pursuits that brought him joy and a sense of freedom. Yet perhaps the most treasured moments for Tony were those spent with Tammy Rambosek, his significant other, and his beloved family. Tony always cherished the time shared with those closest to him, embodying a spirit of warmth and camaraderie.

Tony is survived by his devoted parents, Benny and Jeanie (Reed) Rice; his loving significant other, Tammy Rambosek; his uncle, Jack Reed; his aunt, Karen “Susie” (Tom) Miller; his niece, Kelsey Rice; along with his extended family and friends from TRC. He was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Rice, an infant brother, Rusty, and an infant sister, Renae.

To honor and remember Tony’s life, the family will receive friends on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home, Schnurrenberger Chapel, 222 W Center St., West Mansfield. Graveside services will take place on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Garwood Cemetery in Middleburg with Pastor Jim Taylor officiating. Mark Salyer, Rob McNutt, Keith McNutt, Joseph Rambosek, James Rambosek, and Arlos Priddy will serve as pallbearers. Tom Miller, Jerry Inman, and Dee Dalton will serve as honorary pallbearers. A funeral procession to the cemetery will begin forming at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 am.
