Barbara J. Moffett
1934-2024

Barbara J. Moffett, 90, of Marysville, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Memorial Gables following a brief illness.

A devoted wife, loving mother, and grandmother, she was a graduate of Northwestern High School in Raymond. A wonderful homemaker for her family most of her life, in her later years she worked in the dentist’s office with her brother, Don, then with the Marysville Journal Tribune, and lastly in payroll at Custom Staffing. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, boating at Lake Cumberland, gardening, canning, traveling, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

Born April 2, 1934, in Peoria, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Ethel (Hatfield) Coder. On February 13, 1954, at the Marysville First United Methodist Church, she married her loving husband of nearly 35 years, Keith R. Moffett, and he preceded her in death on March 11, 1989. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Anbra; and her brothers, George and Robert Coder.

She is survived by her daughters, Stephanie (John) Scheiderer of Plain City and Linda (Mitchell) Teicher of Sarasota, FL; sons, Parker (Kim) Moffett of Peoria and Michael (Kellie) Moffett of Raymond; grandchildren, Trisha (Heath) Conklin, Nathan (Anita) Moffett, Shayna Teicher, Nicholas (Lauren) Scheiderer, Caitlin (Steven) Rockwood, Austin Moffett, McKala (Zachary) Johnson, Hanna Moffett and Hunter Moffett; great-grandchildren, Cole, Jett, Knox, MaKinzie, Carson, Henry, Evelyn, Payton, Maebree, Garrett, Lucas and Abigail; a brother, Dr. Donald (Roberta) Coder of Marysville; along with nieces, nephews and friends.

Services to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at the Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel. Burial will follow at the Raymond Cemetery, next to her husband. The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at the funeral home.
