Brent R. Burkholder, 39, of Lakeview, OH, passed away early Sunday morning, September 27, 2026, at OSU Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, OH.
Brent was born on August 18, 1987, in Lima, OH, a son of the late Lori L. (Hahn) Coon, and Robert Burkholder, who survives in Lima. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Ashley Burkholder, and an uncle, Keith Burkholder.
Brent is survived by his father, Rob; brother, Ryan (Rachel) Burkholder of Wapakoneta, OH; sister, Lyndsay (Zak) Ruark of Anna, OH; paternal grandmother, Betty Burkholder of Lakeview; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles; and his canine companion, Kiowa.
Brent graduated from Lima Bath High School and worked at the Honda Transmission Plant in Russells Point, OH. He enjoyed gardening, watching movies, and riding his golf cart. Brent loved having a good time spent with his family and friends, making others laugh and was willing to meet any challenge or dare. Brent was a kind and thoughtful person who would help anyone he saw in need and would willingly give the coat off his back or the shoes off his feet if needed.
