1988-2026
Brittany Ann Curtis, 38, passed away at the Halifax Hospice Facility in Ormond Beach, Florida, on October 17th, after an accident following a domestic incident, which led to a Seizure while driving on October 2nd. Ultimately causing cardiac arrest and leaving her family with the difficult decision to let her go.
She was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio, in 1988 to Jerry F. Curits and the late Sharon (Dowdy) St. Clair. She went to school in Bellefontaine, Brunswick and Piqua, graduating from Miami East High School in 2006. She worked many different jobs in her short time here. She was very loved and could make friends anywhere. She was told she couldn’t have babies, and so she poured her LOVE into her nieces and nephews! Brittany was a recovering addict; she struggled every day, however she was not shy about sharing her story, especially if it would help someone else struggling too. She had three beautiful boys, who became her whole world. She was a lover and a fighter, she had the biggest heart, always giving everyone second chances and the benefit of the doubt. She believed in fresh starts and was not afraid to do the work involved in doing so.
Brittany was preceded in death by her grandfathers: Jerry Curits Sr and Rudy Dowdy Sr; Mother Sharon (Dowdy) St. Clair; and her precious baby boy, Kai Kingston. She is survived by her children: Lyric and Amor. Grandmothers: Madaline Dotson and Virginia Dowdy, Aunts: Tonya Haley, Debbi Newsome, Kerri Anderson, Joni Green, and Traci (Matt) Roderick.
