Calvin Daniel “Danny D” Dearwester, of Eureka, CA, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2026, doing what he loved: collecting rocks on the beach.
Danny D was a true free spirit with a creative mind and a heart full of new ideas. He lived life in his own unique way and left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His individuality, warmth, and unforgettable spirit will be deeply missed by his family and loved ones.
Anyone who knew Danny knew he loved to disc golf and collect rocks.
He is survived by his children Teresa Dearwester; Tara Steranko; Justin Dearwester; Elizabeth Dearwester; Zachary Dearwester; and 7 brothers and many nieces and nephews.
Though Danny D is no longer with us, the memories he created and the impact he had on those around him will remain in their hearts forever.
A Celebration of Life will be held next spring/summer so we can have it at his favorite disc golf park, Mary Rutan Park. Details will be announced as they become available.
Rest in peace, Danny D. Your free spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved you.
