Carol J. White
1937-2026

Carol J. White, 88, of Bellefontaine, passed away Thursday evening, January 8, 2026, at Mary Rutan Hospital.

Carol was born in Belle Center, Ohio, on March 12, 1937, to the late William Perry Price and Blanche Ellen (Neal) Price.  She married Kenneth E. White on February 23, 1955, in Belle Center, and he preceded her in death on November 25, 1998.  She was also preceded in death by step-daughters Sandra S. Culver and Martha L. Elcessor; a step-son James D. White; and 9 siblings: William L., Calvin C., Elizabeth M., Thelma L, Wilbur P., Irene R., Dona R., Marguerite L., and Ronald V.

Carol is survived by her son, Kenneth “Mike” (Sheila) White of Bellefontaine; 3 grandchildren: Tomi J. White, Casey E. (Karley) White, and Paul C. (Yini) Geuy; 3 great-grandchildren: Jaden L. Simms, Owen R., and Eliza C. White; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carol was a graduate of Belle Center High School, where she was an All-State softball pitcher for 3 years and held the home run record.  She worked as a bookkeeper for many years at Bush Electric.  Carol was a 2 time Regent for the Bellefontaine Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.  She loved spending time with her family and children, and was an avid genealogist and crafter.

Pastor Calvin E. Price, Carol’s nephew, will officiate the funeral service on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 10 am at Eichholtz & Daring Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine, where the family will receive friends on Sunday, January 11, from 2-4 pm.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Logan County Animal Shelter, 284 County Road 32 South, Bellefontaine, OH  43311.
