Cathy Jo Herford, age 71, of Bellefontaine, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. She was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio, on September 30, 1955, the daughter of the late Robert E. and Dorothy Jean (Brown) Doty. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Janice L. Kelly.
She is survived by her son, Jeremy (Cora) Herford; grandchildren: Angel, Lillian, Nathaniel, Elijah, Mason, Jerneey, Robert, and Katelyn Herford; brother, Robert Michael Doty; and many nieces and nephews.
Cathy loved working outside and mowing her yard. She was very close with her neighbors and liked to help them out any way she could. She loved her grandchildren deeply and enjoyed the time she spent with them. She will be missed.
