Celestine R. “Sally” Kaczar, 81, of Huntsville, passed away at 8:28 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her family. She was born in Marysville, Ohio, on July 11, 1944, to the late Henry and Margaret (Ryder) Shaw.
On April 12, 1969, she married Richard John Kaczar, and he preceded her in death on December 17, 2017.
Sally is survived by her children, Darlene (Gressner) (Al) Beaver-Walker of Valley High; Jamie (Renae) Beaver of Huntsville, and John Kaczar of Huntsville; grandchildren, Jay Gressner, Heather Griffin, Ashley Knight, Allie Kaczar, Conner Greynolds, and Cameron (Brook) Greynolds; great grandchildren, Landon Griffin, Dawson Snipes, Grayson Greynolds, and Bryson Greynolds; sisters, Pat Dudey, and Judy Shack; sister-in-law, Denise Shaw; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband and parents, Sally was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy Beaver; grandson, Andrew Kaczar; brother, James Shaw; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Richard Sharon; and nephew, Kevin Stein.
Sally worked at Kroger from 1971 until 2022, forming many meaningful connections with people over the years. She was passionate about knitting and crocheting, and cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Sally was very proud to be a member of the Indian Lake Community, enjoyed baking, and was often found busy in the kitchen.
Pastor Greg Menssen will officiate a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2026, at the Eichholtz & Daring Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine. Visitation will be two hours prior to the funeral, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Huntsville Cemetery.
