Cynthia A. Sweeney-McIntire, 60, of Lakeview, OH, passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 6, 2026, at her home with her family by her side.
Cynthia was born on May 31, 1965, in Dayton, OH, a daughter of the late Kenneth William and Veda Jane (Eldridge) Sweeney. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Andrew Jones, Daniel Sweeney, and David Sweeney.
Cynthia married Steven McIntire in 1990 and he survives along with four sons, Josh (Jessica) Sweeney of Bellefontaine, OH, Shawn (Kristin) McIntire of West Liberty, OH, Shylar (Kurrin) McIntire of Fort Drum, NY, and Brad (Gina) McIntire of Marysville, OH, 10 grandchildren, Johnathan, Jake, Jaina, Julie, Peyton, Lauren, Maddox, Gabriella, Maverick, and Cecilia, two siblings, Janie (Ronnie) York, and Mike (Lisa) Sweeney, two sisters-in-law, Geri Jones, and Carol Sweeney, and several nieces and nephews.
To Cynthia, her family and chihuahuas were everything. She loved spending her time with her family, especially her grandchildren, caring for her dogs, and caring for her flowers and plants.
Pastor Wayne Downing will begin funeral services celebrating Cynthia’s life at 6:00 pm, Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St, Lakeview, with visitation from 4:00 – 6:00 pm.
