Cynthia Ann Cox
1967-2026

Cynthia Ann Cox, 79, of Quincy, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 9:35 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026, at her home. She was born in San Diego, California, on October 16, 1946, to the late John "Bud" and Rose "Pat" Nye.

On September 10, 1967, she married James Cox in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, who preceded her in death on November 8, 2022.

Cindy is survived by her son Jeff (Barbara) Cox; her daughter Kristin (Nathan) Knight; her grandchildren Ethan Cox, Trevor Cox, Samuel (Kelsie) Knight, Tyler Knight, and Andrew Knight;  her great-grandchildren Brantley Knight and Ava Knight; her sister Linda Besecker; her brother Allan Nye; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, Cindy was preceded in death by an infant son, Eric Cox.

Cindy devoted her life to the care of others. She worked as a registered nurse at Mary Rutan Hospital and Oakhill Medical Associates. She possessed a strong faith in God and spent many years serving as the head of the "Apple Dumpling Gang" at Middleburg United Methodist Church and enjoying the fellowship of her many friends at Cornerstone Church in DeGraff.

She was a devoted grandmother who rarely missed an activity her grandsons were involved in. She loved to send the boys home with cookies and Chex Mix whenever she saw them. They rarely left her company empty-handed. She was a constant source of love and support for her family and will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Cornerstone Fellowship of DeGraff, 1839 County Road 24 S. in DeGraff, where Pastor Michael Mitchell will officiate a memorial service at 12:00 p.m. Inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Quincy, Ohio, at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Cindy’s memory, to Cornerstone Fellowship Church, 1839 County Road 24 S., DeGraff, Ohio 43318.
