Deborah Sue Mills, age 60, passed away on July 13, 2026, surrounded by the love and support of her family.
Debbie was born on August 11, 1965, to the late Donald and Goldie Simpson. On September 16, 1983, Debbie became a mother to her eldest child. From this day on, she spent her life centered around making memories with her family and friends.
Her greatest joys were the little things in life, whether it be watching a movie, lunch after an appointment, sitting together enjoying the silence, or an extra-long phone call “just because”. She took the most pride and devotion in being a mother and grandma, and she successfully filled these roles every day.
Debbie is survived by her daughter Brandi (John) Legg; grandchildren, Aradia Roth-Carver, Nikolai Legg, Peyton (Desiree) Cox; and her significant other, Lenard Epps Jr.; also by her sisters Patricia Simpson, Mary (Jerry) Pope, Karen (Randy) Hollinger.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Kaeck; her grandson, Kaleb Legg; her brother, Jim Simpson; and both parents.
She was a loving sister, a devoted mother, a proud granny, and a wonderful friend. Her welcoming arms comforted many people in times of need, leaving an impact on everyone who entered her life. Her bright soul and unconditional love will shine on through all who knew her, and she will be missed dearly.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will take place Friday, July 17th, 2026, from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory, 5591 US Highway 68 S., West Liberty, Ohio 43357.
