Dorothy Mae Davidson
1933-2026

Dorothy Mae Davidson, 92, of North Lewisburg, Ohio, passed away on March 31, 2026, in Walnut Crossing Nursing Home.

Dorothy was born on July 20, 1933, in Marion County, Ohio, to the late Roy Ray and Doris Mable (Miller) Knapp.

Dorothy was someone who stayed involved in the lives around her, always willing to lend her time where it was needed. She was a graduate of Claridon High School and worked as a bookkeeper for Davidson’s Union 76 and later at D & S Tire, where she was known for being organized, reliable, and easy to talk to. Earlier in life, she also served as a volunteer EMT, a role that reflected her natural instinct to step in and help others during difficult moments.

Dorothy found joy in the simple things and in staying connected to her community. She was a member of the Maple Acres Garden Club and the This & That Extension Homemakers, and she also served as president of the Champaign Homemakers, a role she took on with care and quiet dedication. She gave her time as a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader, guiding young people with patience and a steady hand.

She will be remembered for her dependable nature, her willingness to help, and the way she made herself available to others without hesitation.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Diana Lynn Roznovsky; son, Keith Wayne Davidson; grandchildren, Kristoffer and James Baker, Rex and Aaron Davidson, Abigail and Mia Davidson, Hannah Davidson, and Rebecca Brown; Many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Judy Blaskis.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Robert Maurice Davidson; sons, Jerry Edward, Kevin Leroy, and Charles Lewis; brothers, Glen “Tuffy” Knapp, Ray Knapp, Phillip Knapp, Garry Knapp, and Paul Knapp; and sister, Grace First.

Memorial service will be held at 1 pm on April 9th, 2026, in FRESHWATER, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home with Pastor Stephen Luzader officiating. The Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.

Burial of cremated remains will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in North Lewisburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Funeral Home in care of the family.
