Edna Marie Hollinger-Waldron, 99, of West Liberty, passed away peacefully at 6:32 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, in her assisted living apartment at Otterbein Green Hills Senior Life Community. She was born on December 29, 1926, in Springfield, Ohio, to the late Ernest Elsworth Mowen and Edna Blanche (Callison) Mowen.
On September 21, 1945, Edna married Robert “Bob” Eldon Hollinger in DeGraff, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on June 10, 1985. In 1988, she married George Waldron in Florida, and he preceded her in death on September 25, 2007.
A homemaker, Edna enjoyed fishing and square dancing. She was a 60-plus-year member and twice Past Worthy Matron of the O.E.S in DeGraff, West Liberty, and Bellefontaine.
Edna is survived by three children, Cheryl Deffenbaugh of Bellefontaine, Pat (Burley) Hall of Cable, and Randy (Karen) Hollinger of DeGraff; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and both husbands, Edna was preceded in death by her daughter, Robin Collett Hollinger; son-in-law, Paul Deffenbaugh; three sisters; and five brothers.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 210 W. Hayes Street in DeGraff, where Pastor Ken Neighoff will officiate a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff, Ohio.
