1936-2023
Ford “Lynn” Young Jr., 87, of Bellefontaine, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the Logan Acres Care Center. He was born in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania on August 9, 1936, to the late Frank Lynn and Alma (Peterson) Young.
On November 2, 1957, he married Joanne Leach and she survives in Bellefontaine.
He is also survived by his son, Mick (Stephanie) Young; daughter, Tammy Hamilton; grandchildren: Lindy (Isaac) Chiles, Brittany (Devin Kipker) Hamilton, Courtney (Sean) Merrill, and Cara Young; great-grandchildren: Keira Penrod, Zane Chiles, Liam Chiles, Mia Varian, Ella Kipker, and twins, Hayes and Harlow Merrill; brother, Tom (Sandy) Young; sister, Barb (Jim) Morgan; and many nieces and nephews.
Lynn was a 1955 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, then went on to be a self-employed truck driver. In his free time, he enjoyed golf and he loved anything to do with cars and hotrods.
Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate a graveside service for Lynn on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Bellefontaine Cemetery.
