Fred W. Larmore, Jr., 91, of Bellefontaine, passed away Friday evening, July 10, 2026, at Logan Acres Care Center.
Fred was born in Dayton, Ohio, on April 30, 1935, to the late Fred W. and Vada (Perry) Larmore. He was also preceded in death by wives, Mabelle (Frondorf) Larmore and Bernice A. (Hurley) Linkinhoker Larmore; 3 sons, Keith Larmore, Larry Larmore, and Joe Larmore; 4 sisters; and 2 brothers.
Fred is survived by his wife Shirley (Stayrook Ritter) Larmore, of Bellefontaine, whom he married on December 14, 2024. He is also survived by daughters Sherry Wallace of Pennsylvania, and Wanda Moody of Florida; 5 step-children; numerous grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a few great-great-grandchildren.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Fred was an aircraft electrical technician prior to his honorable discharge. He then worked in Florida as a gas station manager, and later returned to Ohio where he drove for Ohio Limo for many years. Fred attended Bellefontaine Church of the Brethren and most recently Bellefontaine Church of Christ in Christian Union.
Pastor Mike Phillips will officiate Fred’s funeral service on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 11 am at Eichholtz & Daring Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Casual attire is requested. Burial will be in Huntsville Cemetery, with military honors provided by members of the Logan County Veteran Honor Guard.
