Goldie E. Waters, 69, of Jackson Center, OH, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday night, January 18, 2026, at Wilson Health Emergency Department, Sidney, OH.
Goldie was born on December 17, 1956, in Columbus, OH, a daughter of the late Vernon Oyer and Louise (Therkled) Money. She married Larry Estep in 1977, and he preceded her in death in 1992. She then married Charles Waters in 1993, and he preceded her in death in 2013. She is also preceded in death by a great-grandson, Jacob Bolwing, a sister, Frankie Elliott, and a brother, Jerry Michael Oyer.
Goldie is survived by her two children, Tabbie Kayse of Sidney, and Michael Waters of Jackson Center, three grandchildren, David Kayse, Dawn Thomilson, and Destiny Black, a brother, Jimmy (Mary Ann) Money of Urbana, OH, a brother-in-law, Robert “Gene” Elliott of Russells Point, OH, and several nieces and nephews.
Goldie was a 1975 graduate of Southeastern High School. She enjoyed dancing, reading James Patterson novels, collecting bells, angel figurines, and stuffed animals. Goldie loved animals, especially cats, birds, and her chihuahuas. Goldie had a wonderful sense of humor and was a jokester. She also had a gift of listening and giving sage advice.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview, with visitation from 12-2 pm.
