Harriette Jane Edwards, 101, of Bellefontaine, passed away Saturday morning, April 25, 2026, at Campbell Place in Bellefontaine, one day shy of her 102nd birthday.
Harriette was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio, on April 26, 1924, to the late Burl V. and AdahBelle (Diehl) Rose. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth Jane Edwards Dalton; her son-in-law, Michael Eugene Dalton; her brother, Fred Rose; and her significant other for many years, Martin Joyce.
Harriette is survived by her granddaughters, Shelli (Jerry) Blevins of Alexandria, Kentucky, and Kelli Bosco of Florida; 5 great-grandchildren, Candace Ferguson of Lexington, Kentucky, Adam (Erica) Ferguson of Wheelersburg, Ohio, Lindsay Klaiber of Ironton, Ohio, Bo (Mandy) Dewitz, and Macie Dewitz, both of Florida; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
Harriette graduated as Valedictorian from Bellefontaine High School's class of 1942. After dedicating many years to her career at DAB, she eventually retired. Harriette was a member of the Bellefontaine United Methodist Church and loved to travel. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Pastor Joe Ziraldo will officiate Harriette’s graveside service at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Glen Cemetery in Port Jefferson.
