Jack L. Culp, 80, of Marysville, Ohio, and formerly of Bellefontaine, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026, in Memorial Hospital Emergency Department, Marysville.
He was born in Hilliard, Ohio, on August 5, 1945, the son of the late Clyde William and Minnie Elizabeth (Wilcox) Culp.
On September 23, 1972, he married the former Helen M. Henry in Russells Point, Ohio, and she survives along with one daughter, Kelly J. (Troy) Sanders, one grandson, Jay J. Recker, a sister, Alice Buckley, a sister-in-law, Darlene Culp, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Allison M. Recker and Victoria L. Recker, a sister, Mary Culp, a brother, William Culp Jr., and his two dogs, Sparky and Shorty.
Jack was a proud United States Army Veteran. He worked as an over-the-road truck driver and thoroughly enjoyed driving truck. He was a very safe driver, driving more than 2,000,000 accident-free miles, even with his vision impairments. He also loved riding and working on classic motorcycles as well as being an avid fisherman, even winning a B.A.S.S. tournament a number of years ago. He was a fan of The Ohio State University Buckeyes football team and enjoyed music, playing the harmonica, and the guitar.
Pastor Steve Smith will officiate a funeral service on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 12Noon in the Eichholtz & Daring Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home, from 10 to 12Noon. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty, with military honors provided by the Logan County Veteran Honor Guard.
