Jamie Lynn Thornhill, 59, of Urbana, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026, in Miami Valley Hospital.
Jamie was born on December 8, 1966, in Urbana, Ohio to Berletta (Witten) and Roger Thornhill Sr.
He was a 1984 graduate of Triad High School and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army during Desert Storm. Jamie spent over a decade working at International Harvester and Honda. He was currently working in logistics at Copeland in Sidney, and his family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Copeland for the care and support shown to him.
He enjoyed spending time working on cars and keeping up with NASCAR. He was also an avid coin collector, a fan of rock and roll, and someone who could always settle in and enjoy a good movie. More than anything, he valued time with his family and simply being around the people he loved. Jamie had a big heart and was always willing to help when someone needed it. He had an easy way about him that made people feel comfortable, and that’s how he’ll be remembered most.
Jamie is survived by his mother, Berletta Thornhill; son, Jeremy Thornhill; sister, Debbie McFarland; brother, Roger (Mary Ann) Thornhill Jr.; grandchildren, Sebastian Thornhill; nieces and nephews, April, Chris and Jason Felice, Ashley, Zach, Kenny, Martha and Renee Thornhill.
Jamie is preceded in death by his father, Roger Thornhill Sr., and brother, Charles Thornhill.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, in Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 W Third St, Dayton, OH 45428.
