Javier Jesus Lazo, 71, of Quincy, passed away at 6:13 p.m. on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. He was born in Cuba on April 19, 1954, a son of the late Javier Lazo and Concepcion (Arechabala) Lazo.
On April 15, 2005, Javier married Pamela Joann (Martin) Lazo in Reno, Nevada and she survives, along with six children, Frank, Thomas, Erica, Andrea, Jared Taner, and Jesse (Sarah) Cooper; five grandchildren, Leo, Oliver, Jaden Taner, Skyler Cooper, and BrieAnna Cooper; three brothers, Ignacio Lazo, Andrew Lazo, and Gregory Lazo; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
An alumnus of Notre Dame, Javier had worked as a Business Analyst. He was an avid reader, a military history buff, and possessed a strong spiritual sense.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the Quincy Methodist Church, 111 South Street in Quincy, Ohio, where Pastor Michael Mitchell will officiate a memorial service at 2:00 p.m.
