Jean F. Stueve
1929-2026
Jean F. Stueve, 96, of Russells Point, OH, passed away Friday afternoon, April 17, 2026, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, OH.
Jean was born on May 23, 1929, in Dayton, OH, a daughter of the late David and Elsie (Oliver) Trapp. Jean married Richard A. Stueve on September 6, 1947, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Dayton, and he passed away on July 24, 1980. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Ann Stueve, two sons, Rick Stueve and Terry Stueve, a brother, Kenny Trapp, and a sister, Ruth Lightcap.
Jean is survived by two daughters, Judy (Jim) McGhee of Lakeview, OH, and Joyce Ruzick of Russells Point, seven grandchildren, Joey Ruzick, Jeff (Amy) Ruzick, Julie Ruzick, Brian Besanceny, Hollie Griffin, Kelly (Zach) Downard, and Brooke Patterson, eight great-grandchildren, Jaden Griffin, Rylee Panhorst, Bridgett Panhorst, Max Panhorst, Andrew Garman, Joey Ruzick II, Whitney Woods, and Brayden Webb, and a daughter-in-law, Deb Stueve.
Jean retired from the Montgomery County Clerk of Courts. She was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Russells Point, Indian Lake Moose Lodge #1533, and Doyle R. Miller Amvets Post #39 in Lakeview. Jean loved to volunteer and served St. Vincent de Paul Society in Russells Point and Friends Serving Friends for many years.
Father Shawn Landenwitch will begin a memorial mass at 12:00 pm, Friday, April 24, 2026, at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, 464 Madison Ave, Russells Point, with visitation from 10:00 – 11:30 am, Friday, April 24th at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St, Lakeview. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dayton, OH, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent de Paul Society, PO Box 329, Russells Point, OH 43348.
