Juanita Mae Siegenthaler
1927-2025

Juanita Mae Siegenthaler, 97, of West Mansfield, passed away Tuesday evening, June 10, 2025, at her home.

Juanita was born on October 19, 1927, in North Lewisburg, Ohio, to the late William Howard Smith and Florence P. (Fields) Smith. She married Max Siegenthaler on February 18, 1946, in Maysville, Kentucky, and he preceded her in death on December 13, 1994. Juanita was also preceded in death by 4 sisters: Frieda Keller, Dorothy Van Hoose, Ruth Reames, and Norma Reese; 4 brothers: Bill Smith, Cyrus Nelson, Lester Smith, and Glenn Smith; a daughter Mary Strong (June 4, 2004); a son Richard Siegenthaler (Jan. 2, 2018); and a step-son Ray Allen Siegenthaler (Aug. 16, 1977).

Juanita is survived by daughter Roberta (Robert) Hutchins; son Charles (Beth) Siegenthaler; a special granddaughter, Vickie Strong whom she resided for many years; 10 grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Juanita worked as a press operator and assembler at Siemens before she retired in 1986. She loved to go camping and enjoyed going out to eat with “the girls” on Thursdays.

Dr. Bob Burnett will officiate Juanita’s graveside service on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Logan County Cancer Society, in care of Mary Rutan Foundation, 205 Palmer Ave. Bellefontaine, OH 43311; or to ViaQuest Hospice, 171 Morey Dr. Suite B, Marysville, OH 43040.
