Lanetta Loree Crockett
1935-2026

Lanetta Loree Crockett, 91, of DeGraff, passed away at 12:35 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Logan Acres Care Center in Bellefontaine, Ohio. She was born in Waldron, Michigan, on February 23, 1935, to the late Carl Russell Hollstein and Lois Arlene (Towne) Hollstein.

On December 31, 1958, Lanetta married Robert “Bob” Eugene Crockett in Angola, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on April 20, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Delores King; a brother, Keith Hollstein; sister-in-law, Gay Hollstein; and two brothers-in-law, Phil Siegel and Ron King.

Lanetta is survived by her two sons, David (Sherri) Crockett, and Darrell (Kris) Crockett; four grandchildren, Andrew (Kasandera) Crockett, Nickolas (Lindsey) Crockett, Kurt (Ruth) Crockett, and Kassidy (Patrick) Harr; a great granddaughter, Abigail Crockett and another expected in October 2026; a sister, Sandy Siegel; numerous nieces and nephews; and her loyal companion German Shepard “Holly”.

A homemaker and devoted farmer's wife, Lanetta was a member of the Lewistown-Trinity United Methodist Church, Logan County Farm Bureau, Widows Club, and The Happy Hookers Sewing Club. She loved playing cards, cooking, flowers, and was the “master” of freezing food. She loved her family dearly and never missed an event that involved her grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Sanford Funeral Home, 210 W. Hayes Street in DeGraff, where Pastor Rod Brower will officiate a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff, Ohio.
