Lisa Gail Zell
1962-2026

Lisa Gail Zell peacefully went to be with our Lord on June 6th, 2026, at home with her loved ones. She was born February 19th, 1962, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Alvin Lowell Kapperman and Patricia (Ruston) Dixon & the late William Dixon. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Jeffrey L. Zell; her mother, whom she cared for and loved dearly; and her children, Trina (Joe) Kopus, Tiffany Shepherd, and Briana (Hank) Spangler. She was "Mammaw" to seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Mike (Charlene) Kapperman, Tim (Laronda) Kapperman, Joni Cooney, numerous nieces and nephews, and her beloved fur-baby, Maggie. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Ken Shepherd; brother, Rick Kapperman; sister, Kimberly Kapperman; and niece, Courtney Taulbee.

Lisa was the cornerstone of her family. She served as a devoted wife, beloved daughter, nurturing mother, and patient caregiver. She continually chose to live life loving unconditionally. She was a wonderful woman who fully embraced giving her life to serve God’s purpose. She faced life’s challenges with optimism, positivity, silliness, and bouts of giggles. In her humble selflessness, she joyfully spent endless hours knitting, crocheting, and sewing gifts, keepsakes, and even quick stitches for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many others who held a special place in her heart. She loved spending time with all the babies in the family, watching movies, reading, traveling, and enjoyed outwitting everyone in trivia. She was incredibly smart, quick-witted, and could remember everything going on with everyone in the family.

After dedicating over a decade of her career in the customer service industry, she went back to school and received an Associate’s degree with honors in Information Technology. She then spent over 25 years serving in that career and proving to be a master in IT, to which not even her grandkids could hold a candle. She gently guided her family in faithfulness and welcomed enlightened conversations. Having her around always made everything easier for everyone and much more fun! She was the love of her husband’s life, and she reciprocated his love, cherishing and adoring him. She will be greatly missed, and her family is honored to have had her courageous, resilient, and committed love.

Pastor Nate Wilcoxon will officiate her funeral service at 1:00 PM Friday, June 12, 2026, at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home and Crematory, 5591 US Highway 68 South, West Liberty, Ohio 43357. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
