Marcus J. Taylor, 73, of Bellefontaine, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Hospice of Miami County in Troy, OH.
Marcus was born March 8, 1953, in Lima, OH, to the late Lloyd Elmer and Donna Belle (Dobie) Taylor. On August 26, 1972, in Botkins, OH, he married the love of his life, Elaine M. Burden, who survives. He is also survived by his sons, Travis (Mindy) Taylor and Jeremy (Gina) Taylor; grandchildren, Caleb, Macey, Ava, and Parker.
Marcus honorably served his country in the Army National Guard for six years. He enjoyed trapshooting, fishing, and, after retirement, traveling with Elaine in their motorhome. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Marcus was deeply involved in the fire apparatus industry for many years. Throughout that time, he developed many meaningful relationships with customers, many of whom became lifelong friends.
He was always willing to help others, gladly assisting friends and family with any task or project.
In lieu of designating an organization for memorial contributions, the family kindly asks that all offer a prayer and extend help to someone in need.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 28, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home, 5591 US Hwy 68 S., West Liberty, OH 43357. A private family graveside service will take place at a later date. Burial will be in Willow Branch Cemetery, Waynesfield, OH.
