Margaret Teresa Erickson, 43, of Bellefontaine, went to the loving arms of Jesus Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Mary Rutan Hospital.
Margaret was born April 30, 1983, to Thomas Patrick Coate and Jeanette Elaine (Birt) Hildreth. On May 7, 2012, she married the love of her life, Stephan Douglas Erickson, who survives. She is also survived by her children, Grant, Isaac, Noah, Lincoln, Eleanor, Evelyn; her mother, Jeanette (Chuck) Hildreth; her father, Thomas (Mitzi) Coate; sisters, Sharyn (Jeremy) France and Mary (Nathan) Madison; step siblings, Logan (Liz) Newell, Brandy Newell, Wyatt (Stacey) Neill; nephews, Caleb McNeil, Denver Madison and Elijah Madison; nieces, Shana Yutzy and Kirsten Torres; several great nieces and nephews.
Margie graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Valley Forge in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree. She enjoyed many things in life, making T-shirts for her family for special events and occasions. She also enjoyed crocheting, scrapbooking, baking, gardening, and working puzzles. Margie truly enjoyed watching British TV, such as Dr. Who, Doc Martin, and The Mid-Summer Mysteries. Above all, she loved her Lord and Savior, her church, her friends, and her family. She was a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God, and she served as the women’s pastor at First Assembly of God church in Bellefontaine. Margie loved spending fellowship time with her friends and getting coffee. Margie loved spending time with her family playing board games, mainly Splendor, and going on trips to Disney. She also loved the beach and seeing the beautiful sunrises and sunsets the beach provided. Margie was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A Funeral Service will take place Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Assembly of God, 2833 US-68, Bellefontaine, OH 43311. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. There will be an additional hour of visitation prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will take place in Rushsylvania Cemetery.
