Mary Ruth Ball, 97, of Bellefontaine and formerly of Sidney, entered into eternal rest and to the arms of her Lord and Savior at 8:40 a.m. on April 23, 2026, in Logan Acres Care Center, and is now rejoicing with her loving husband John and her large loving family. The youngest of ten siblings, Mary Ruth was born in Princeton, West Virginia, on January 26, 1929, to the late Gordon H. Helmandollar and Lucinda (Scott) Helmandollar.
On July 6, 1947, Mary Ruth married John Ball Jr. in Quincy, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on July 15, 2017. She was also preceded in death by her nine siblings.
Many nieces and nephews survive Mary Ruth.
A homemaker, Mary Ruth was a member of Northtowne Church of God in Sidney.
Pastor Carl McNiell will officiate a graveside service at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco, Ohio.
