1958-2025
Michael Lowell Harvey, 67, of Urbana, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones, on November 25, 2025.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Charles Lowell Harvey, and his mother, Betty Lou (Downs) Harvey.
Michael was born on October 28, 1958, and is survived by his sister, Paula Harvey (Keith) Barrett, daughter, Gretchen Harvey (Jason) Lapp, and son, Gregory Lowell (Jennifer) Harvey; his grandsons, Riggs Daniel Lapp, Bayes Lowell Lapp, Mills Banion Lapp, and Finnegan Lowell Harvey. Michael is also survived by Sandy Kizer and her grandson, Xander Kizer.
Michael graduated from Urbana High School in 1977 and attended Ohio University. He was an ornery guy with a great sense of humor, and he enjoyed telling stories that made many people chuckle. Michael and Sandy enjoyed small road trips over the years and living a simple life. He enjoyed spending time with his son and grandsons, working on cars, attending sporting events, and helping his daughter with her home projects (with no complaints). He greatly appreciated his long friendships and time spent with JP, Bill, and Kirby. Michael was a 44-year member of the Harmony 8 Lodge, Free & Accepted Masons.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1 - 2 pm on November 30th in VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, Ohio.
Funeral service will follow at 2 pm on November 30th in the funeral home with Pastor David Brown officiating. The service will begin with Masonic honors that will be provided by Harmony 8 Lodge.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider donating to a charity of your choice or to the Harmony 8 Lodge in memory of Michael.
