Patty A. Stringer
1932-2026

Patty A. Stringer, 93, of Bellefontaine, passed away Friday evening, May 22, 2026, at Campbell Place.

Patty was born in Belle Center, Ohio, on September 7, 1932, to the late Lloyd and Irma (Casey) Dysert.  She married Byron L. “Barney” Stringer on October 5, 1956, in Belle Center, and he preceded her in death on August 2, 2002.  Patty was also preceded in death by her sister Peggy Pittman; 3 brothers: Jackie, Bobby, and Jimmy Dysert; a nephew, Wayne Smith; and a niece, Shirley Dysert.

Patty is survived by her step-daughters: Susan (Sam) Sheeley of Bellefontaine, and Sandra (Mike) Arbogast of Bellefontaine; 7 step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including Jimmy and Jennifer Dysert.

A member of Bellefontaine First United Methodist Church and later Cornerstone Church at Huntsville, Patty retired from Bulldog / Siemens after 37 years of work.  In her younger years, she enjoyed riding horses.   She volunteered at Mary Rutan Hospital and Discovery Riders.  After retiring, Patty and Barney moved to Florida, where she took up playing golf and volunteered with Hospice.

Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate a graveside service in Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center, on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 1 pm.
