Robert (Bob) Eugene Minnich Jr., of Huntsville, Ohio, was born on December 10, 1952, the son of the late Robert Minnich Sr. and Judy (Smith) Minnich passed away peacefully on October 15, 2026, in his home, surrounded by family.
A 1970 graduate of Indian Lake High School. Bob married the late Beverly (Bell) Minnich on September 18, 1971. He began Lewis and Minnich Construction in 1985 with William “Web” Lewis and later operated under Minnich Builders. A skilled contractor and home builder, he took pride in his work throughout the Indian Lake community. He later retired as a car hauler truck driver from Allied Transport in Marysville. Bob was truly a jack of all trades. He was a pilot, athlete, coach, umpire, hunter, fisherman, and even a local radio DJ. He was a hardworking man who wore many hats, but the roles that meant the most were those that made him a father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
If there was one thing that could always be counted on, it was Bob’s incredible sense of humor. He loved reminiscing of the adventures and shenanigans with his brothers and close friends. His story telling would keep everyone on the edge of their seats. His laughter was contagious and his one-liners were his trademark. Bob had a deep love for music, especially Motown, and The Best Damn Band In The Land (TBDBITL) as he was a die-hard Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Whether tapping his toes to his favorite Temptations songs, clapping along to Script Ohio, cheering on the Buckeyes (or cursing that team up north), sharing a favorite story, or simply enjoying his bottomless mug of Pepsi, Bob found joy in the things he loved.
Above all, Bob was a dedicated father and husband who loved his family. His legacy lives on through his children, Ross (Kirsten) Minnich and Abby (Jason) Schwaderer; his grandchildren, Kalib Minnich, Kayla Schwaderer, and Kennedy Schwaderer; and his brothers, Doug (Sheila) Minnich and Bill (Pam) Minnich; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Minnich; his mother, Judith (Smith) Minnich; his brother, Joseph Minnich; and his beloved wife, Beverly (Bell) Minnich.
Bob leaves behind a lifetime of stories, laughter, lessons, and memories that will continue to be shared for years to come. He will be remembered as a hardworking, talented, kindhearted man who welcomed others, loved deeply, and never lost his sense of humor. His favorite one-liners will be repeated, his beloved Buckeyes will continue to be cheered on, and his laughter will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, with Reverend Bryan Meadows officiating graveside services at 1:00 pm at Huntsville Cemetery.
Bob rigorously fought several battles with cancer spanning over the years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests your participation in the ongoing fight to cure cancer. Donations can be made to the JR Memorial Cruise for a Cure at www.jrmemorial.com.
