Robert K. Kennedy, 85, of Lakeview, OH, passed away Friday afternoon, October 9, 2026, at Indian Lake Rehabilitation Center, with his family by his side.
Robert was born on April 23, 1941, in Springfield, OH, a son of the late Ernest Kennedy and Freda M. (Shaw) Kennedy Neal. He married Sandra S. (Army) Kennedy on February 23, 1963, in Lima, OH, and she preceded him in death on June 23, 2018. He is also preceded in death by his stepfather, Bill Neal, two brothers, Bill “Bid” Neal and Ron Neal, and sister-in-law, Eve Kennedy.
Robert is survived by six children, Robert (Lori) Kennedy, Craig (Sallie) Kennedy, Christina (Adam) Baker, and Tamara (Neil) Ebbeskotte, all of Lima; Bryan (Sarah) Kennedy of Peoria, AZ; and Kevin (Jodi) Kennedy of Harrod, OH; 20 grandchildren; three siblings, Mike Kennedy of Lewistown, OH, Alice (Chris) Stahler of DeGraff, OH, and Patti (Scott Hurst) Neal Miller of Lakeview; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Robert attended Indian Lake High School, graduated from Hobart Institute of Welding, and retired from General Dynamics in 1995. He was a member of Heidelberg Reform Church in Lima and Indian Lake Eagles Aeries # 3615. Robert enjoyed fishing, boating, and playing guitar. He was a “Jack of All Trades” and mechanically inclined. He built and flew remote-controlled airplanes, built motorcycles, and attempted several other building projects.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Huntsville Cemetery.
