Roger E. Spires, 52, of Belle Center, passed away at 1:34 pm Friday, September 27, 2024, at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born in Bellefontaine on May 24, 1972, to the late William W. and Sandra J (Harold) Spires.
Roger is survived by his fiancee Jody Williams and sons Tyler Evans of Belle Center, Caleb Spires of Bellefontaine, and Colan Spires of Kenton; grandsons Carter and Zander Spires; brothers William Spires II of Lakeview and Terry Spires of Upper Sandusky.
Along with his parents, Roger was also preceded in death by his brother Raymond Spires.
Roger worked with Laidlaw and Allied Waste as a diesel mechanic where he made many lifelong friends.
He had been a member of AmVets of Lakeview.
In Roger's spare time, he played in a pool league. Throughout the years, he competed in quad-racing on and off the ice with good friend Shawn Hesser. He loved go-cart racing and snowmobiling - pretty much anything to do with racing or derbys. If he wasn't participating, he was watching. He loved going anywhere on his Harley. Roger also enjoyed spending time at home with close family and his pets Lucy, Mikey, and his cat Peanut. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Pastor Steve Smith will officiate a Celebration of Life on Sunday, October 13, 2024, beginning at 3 pm at the New Richland Baptist Church, 8651 County Road 39, Belle Center, Ohio. Visitation is from 1 - 3 pm.
