Sandra Sue Huffman, 78, of Cable, went to be with the Lord on June 18, 2025, in Select Specialty Hospital - Columbus, surrounded by her loving family.
Sandy was born on January 21, 1947, in Urbana, Ohio, to the late Eugene and Lucille (White) Perry.
Sandy, a proud graduate of Triad High School, Class of 1965, began her professional life working at Grimes for five years before dedicating herself full-time to her roles as a homemaker and childcare provider. Sandy married the love of her life on June 4, 1965, in the North Lewisburg United Methodist Church.
Family was everything to Sandy. Her love and devotion to those closest to her shaped every aspect of her life. Deeply rooted in community service, she dedicated countless hours as an active member of Cable Community Methodist Church, Women of Faith, 4-H, Triad Athletic Boosters, and Triad Elementary PTO. Sandy lived a life of purpose and compassion, always seeking ways to uplift others.
She treasured the simple joys of life, spending quiet moments reading or solving puzzles, creating handmade gifts through sewing and crocheting, and nurturing her beautiful flower beds. She found joy in sharing meals with friends, where laughter and stories flowed easily, and her happiest moments were often spent cheering on her grandchildren at their various activities.
Sandy’s warm presence, generous heart, and unwavering commitment to her family and community left a lasting legacy. Her impact will continue to be felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Sandy is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Ronald Huffman; daughters, Jill (Larry) Brown, Jennifer (Rob) Kilgore, Jami (Andy) Crabill, grandchildren, Michael Brown, Lauren (Daniel) Kaffenbarger, Hannah Kilgore, Joshua (Sydnee) Kilgore, Katie Crabill, Alex Crabill; great-grandchildren, Gage and Gavyn Heitman, Ezra and Adaline Kaffenbarger; brothers, Ed (Brenda) Perry, Don (Pam) Perry, brother and sister-in-law’s, Daryol House, Danny (Cindy) Huffman, Rick (Darlena) Huffman, Tim (Brenda) Huffman; 24 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Tiffany Brown; sisters, Joyce Graves and Nancy House; and nephew, Doug Perry.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, in FRESHWATER, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, North Lewisburg, Ohio.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 26, 2025, in the funeral home with Pastor Rob Blosser officiating.
Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, North Lewisburg, Ohio.
