Scott Alan Marenberg, 56, passed away on April 13, 2026, at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
Scott was born on May 30, 1969, in Urbana, Ohio, to Gerald Marenberg and Elizabeth (Anderson) Marenberg.
Scott was a 1987 graduate of Urbana High School and dedicated 36 years of employment to Honda in Marysville. He had a passion for motocross racing, competing as rider #408 for over 25 years. Scott was also an avid runner, proudly completing the Air Force Marathon in 2017. In addition, he owned and operated MI Tree Service, LLC. He enjoyed participating in bike path competitions and staying active outdoors.
Scott is survived by his life partner, Heidi Courter; his parents, Gerald (Jo) Marenberg and Elizabeth Lancaster; his daughter, Jaina (Isiah Leasure) Stanley; his brothers, David W. (Jan) Marenberg and James A. Marenberg; his stepbrother, Scott (Krystal) Kunkle; and his stepsister, Jennifer Kunkle (Mark Mankins).
He is also survived by three nephews, two great-nephews, two great-nieces, as well as an uncle and several cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at The Olde Barn, 1148 State Route 55, Urbana, Ohio 43078.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Simon Kenton Trail Pathfinders, P.O. Box 91, Urbana, Ohio 43078, or by honoring Scott’s memory through volunteering at a local animal shelter.
