Sherri Ann Kensler Mears, age 63 of Hendersonville, TN, was called to her Heavenly home on Monday, June 1, 2026. Sherri was born on October 2, 1962, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Sharon Kay Kensler.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandsons, Ryman and Reign Weatherby; maternal grandparents, Clifford B. and Ada Mae Kensler; several beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is survived by her children, Marisa (Preston) Weatherby and Mason Mears; grandchildren, Waylon Brake, Canaan Weatherby, Adelyn Weatherby and Micheal Weatherby, Jr.; brother, Fred Jackson; sisters, Melanie Lehman and Cindi (George) Urban; uncles, Ted Kensler and Ron (Pauline) Kensler; aunts, Sheryl Zirkle, Connie Kaelin and Karen Preston; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was the light in every day and the warmth in every room, bringing comfort and joy to all who knew her. The love she had for her children and grandchildren was unmatched, a bond that will forever remain unbroken. She found her greatest happiness in the simple, meaningful moments: cheering on her grandchildren at their soccer games, treating them to ice cream, and creating lasting memories during cherished sleepovers. She took immense pride in being the very best Gigi and Mom she could be, pouring her heart into her family each and every day. Her presence will be missed beyond belief, but her love will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, June 7th at 1:30 PM from the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home in Hendersonville with Lance Sessions officiating. Interment will follow the service at Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home on Sunday, June 7th, from 9:30 AM until service time at 1:30 PM.
