Talitha Ellen Farris
1950-2026

Talitha Ellen Farris, 75, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026, following a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born on December 7, 1950, to David and Julia Parthemore, Talitha was a woman of deep faith and immense creativity. She graduated from Rhodes College with a degree in Business with National Honors, and most recently served her community as a Paraprofessional Educator at Benjamin Logan Elementary.

Talitha was a true artist at heart, seeing beauty and possibility in everything she touched. She shared her many talents through photography, writing, acting, directing plays, and gardening. Whether she was camping in the great outdoors or tending to her beloved "kitties," she moved through the world with a loving spirit that left a lasting impression on everyone blessed to know her.

She is survived by her two sons, Martin William Farris III (Beth) of Alaska, and Philip B. Farris; her beloved grandchildren, Amanda Farris, Caleb Farris, and Jade Hoagland; and her siblings, Melinda McConnell, Lois Hord, Eric Parthemore, Laura Middaugh, and Bart Parthemore. She also leaves behind many others who knew her simply as "Mom," "sister," or "Aunt Tilly."

Talitha was preceded in death by her parents, David and Julia, and her siblings, Julia Hatcher, Nora Parthemore, and David Parthemore.

"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance..."

As we honor and remember Talitha, we hold close the love, wisdom, and strength she shared. She loved her God and held firmly to her faith. Her children and grandchildren were among her greatest joys and blessings. Though this is a season of mourning, we are deeply grateful for the precious time God blessed us to have with her. Her love and memory will remain in our hearts forever.
