1963-2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Teresa “Teri” Marie (Elliott) Ransbottom, 63, of Bellefontaine, on July 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family at The Ohio State Ross Heart Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Born on November 26, 1963, Teri was the beloved daughter of the late Donald “Donny” and Mary Lou (VanHoose) Elliott. She was a proud graduate of Benjamin Logan High School, Class of 1982.
Teri built a life rooted in hard work, unwavering loyalty, and unconditional love. She dedicated 25 years to Siemens in Bellefontaine before spending the past 13 years with Mobile Instruments (now Agility), where she formed lifelong friendships.
Family was everything to Teri. Her grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. You could always find her at one of their sporting events almost every night of the week. If there was a game—rain or shine, home or away—she never missed an opportunity to cheer them on.
Teri treasured every holiday, every cookout, every birthday, and every ordinary day spent with family. She was known for saying exactly what was on her mind. She believed that the truth was an act of love, even when it was hard to hear.
When it came to advice, Teri didn’t sugarcoat life. She offered honesty, wisdom, and fierce protection to those she loved. She was strong enough to tell you when you were wrong, compassionate enough to help you through it anyway, and selfless enough to put everyone else’s needs before her own. Her life was measured not by the years she lived, but by the countless lives she touched. She was our protector, our biggest cheerleader, our voice of reason, and our home.
Teri shared a very special bond with her aunts, Becky Barger and Diana Horsley, as well as many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews, especially Randy (Arlene) Horsley, who was more like a brother than a cousin.
Teri leaves behind her devoted husband and best friend, Mark A. Ransbottom; her daughters, Kelli (Dennis) Stevenson and Katisha (Jason) Robinson; her grandchildren, Draden, Dawson, and Delaney Stevenson, Travis (Megan) Robinson, and Zane Robinson; her great-grandchildren, Owen, Wyatt, and Nova Robinson; and many dear friends.
Although our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort in knowing that the lessons she taught us—to work hard, love your family fiercely, and always show up for the people who matter most—will live on through each of us.
Teri will be loved forever, missed beyond words, and remembered every single day.
A Celebration of Teri’s Life will be held by the family at a later date.
