1966-2026

Victoria Ann “Torey” Lamson, 60, of Bellefontaine, passed away Monday, August 17, 2026, at Ayden Health Care of Belle Springs, Bellefontaine.

She was born in Woodward, Oklahoma, on March 25, 1966, the daughter of the late Frank Singleton Lamson, Sr. and Charlene Eaton (John) Jacobs, who survive. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Frank S. Lamson, Jr.

Torey is also survived by her boyfriend of 21 years, Chad Yelton of Bellefontaine, three children, Rachael (John) Clark, William Tyler (Caitlin) Clark, Jonathon Cody (Shenandoah) Clark, four step-children; Reid Landon (Brittany Saxton) Butler, Kristyn Yelton, Paige Rian (Cody) Yelton, and Alexandria Noelle Yelton, 14 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, a sister, Jenny (Shannon) Legge, two half-sisters, Pam (Mike) Ellis and Anna (Dave Defer) Lamson, her stepmother, Cha, a sister-in-law, Nikki and several nieces and nephews.

Torey worked 25 years in customer service at Mobile Instruments in Bellefontaine and was also employed at Penske Auto Services for just over a year, until ALS led to her early retirement. She enjoyed bowling and bowled in a league for 17 years. She and Chad also loved traveling, and Torey’s interest in history took them to museums across the country, including one of her favorite destinations, the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum in Indiana. When she wasn’t traveling, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

A celebration of life is being planned, and more details will be announced soon.
