The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a three-vehicle crash that happened Sunday morning at the intersection of U.S. 33 and Township Road 99.

According to troopers, the crash occurred shortly after 11 a.m. when a 2014 Nissan Altima driven by 18-year-old Donovan Corwin of St. Paris was stopped on Township Road 99 at the intersection.

Corwin reportedly failed to yield at the stop sign and pulled into the path of a westbound 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 operated by 30-year-old Brent Reed of Marysville.

The impact pushed Reed’s vehicle into a 2026 Honda Civic operated by 75-year-old James Wehrman of Belle Center, who was southbound on Township Road 99 at the stop sign.

Wehrman and his 75-year-old passenger, Sandra Wehrman, were transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Indian Lake EMS for possible injuries.

Corwin was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign.

Huntsville Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the scene.

Dad’s, Wren’s, and Hogan’s towing services removed the vehicles from the crash scene.
