Bellefontaine dries up Indian Lake in ACME League play

Indian Lake could not keep pace with Bellefontaine on Wednesday, falling to the Chieftains, 10-5.

Indian Lake got on the board first in the top of the first inning after Aaron Rapp grounded out, and Dawson Stevenson singled to the right side of the infield, each scoring a run.

The Lakers added a run in the third on a single to center field from Lane Kipker.

Bellefontaine captured the lead, 4-3, in the bottom of the third when Aven Caudill singled in a run, and Zylar Huffman doubled, scoring two runs.

Bellefontaine scored five runs on two hits in the bottom of the fifth inning to extend the lead.

Grant Wickline took the loss for Indian Lake, going four innings and giving up four runs on seven hits, striking out four.

Aiden Smith gets the win for Bellefontaine.

Kipker led Indian Lake, going 2-for-4 from the plate with two RBIs. Jaxon Snipes went 2-for-3 with a single, a double, and 3 runs.

Bellefontaine piled up nine hits in the game. Sutton Daring went 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs and a run.

Sam Klien and Spencer Stolly each collected two hits for the Chiefs.

Next up for Indian Lake is a game against Botkins on Thursday.
