IL stops St. Henry; Hawley leads Ben Logan over Chiefs

Indian Lake rallied late in the game to top the St. Henry Redskins 7-6 on Wednesday. The Lakers trailed by as many as four runs during the game.

The game was tied at six in the top of the eighth when Tyler Tidwell hit a sacrifice fly to score the go ahead run.

Indian Lake got on the board first in the top of the first after the Redskins committed an error. Jaxon Snipes grounded out afterwards to score another run.

A single by Jack Buschur gave St. Henry the lead, 3-2, in the bottom of the second.

The Redskins added to their lead in the bottom of the third inning after Zach Buschur singled to center field, Charlie Werling walked, and Drew Langenkamp was struck by a pitch, each scoring a run.

A couple of errors in the seventh allowed Indian Lake to tie the game.

Brady Golliday stepped on the hill first for Indian Lake and surrendered two hits and three runs over two innings. Lane Kipker came in and pitched three and one-third innings in relief for the Lakers giving up five hits and three runs while striking out three and walking two. Jack Buschur stepped on the mound first for St. Henry. He allowed just one hit and two runs over three innings, striking out one and walking one.

Reed Strayer led Indian Lake with three hits in five at bats. Aaron Rapp, Tidwell, and Kipker each drove in a run for Indian Lake.

Jack Buschur went 1-for-4 at the plate and led the Redskins with two RBIs. Jake Schwieterman and Logan Schmitz each collected two hits for St. Henry.

Indian Lake welcome Benjamin Logan on Thursday for their next game.

Benjamin Logan 5, Bellefontaine 1

Jacob Hawley was dominant on the hill, as the righty rang up 12 strikeouts in Benjamin Logan ‘s 5-1 victory over Bellefontaine on Wednesday. Hawley gave up three hits and one run over seven innings without walking anyone.

The Raiders got on the board in the top of the third inning after Xavier Allen doubled in a run, and Layton Watkins singled in two more.

Ashe Moorehouse and Xavier Allen each collected two hits for Benjamin Logan . Bode Clapsaddle and Layton Watkins also drove in runs for Benjamin Logan . Benjamin Logan ran wild on the base paths, collecting eight stolen bases for the game.
